The SHACK.house Collection is inspired by a simpler lifestyle reflected in the humble beach shacks found in the region. Simple, robust, informal.

With raking ceilings opening up to a northern alfresco, these homes are filled with natural light and all rooms face onto their own private courtyards ensuring privacy and space to retreat from the elements.

Natural timbers are juxtaposed with vertical cladding and burnished concrete floors to provide a considered simplicity that is both informal and welcoming.

Choose your exterior cladding

The SHACK house collection is characterised by vertical cladding which is achieved by using Abodo Vulcan thermally modified timber or by James Hardie’s Scyon ‘Axon’ cladding. The standard finish is the Axon cladding which can be painted to personal preference.

 

Abodo ‘Vulcan’ timber cladding

We use FSC* thermally modified timber cladding from Abodo to comply with strict sustainability criteria . Low maintenance, termite resistant and with a warranty of 25 years, Vulcan timber cladding is one of the most sustainable building materials available and sequesters carbon for the lifetime of the building. Abodo cladding can be used up to a BAL rating of 29 with certain design considerations.

Scyon ‘Axon’ F/C cladding

The Scyon ‘Axon’ range of fibre cement cladding has been accepted as satisfying he strict criteria of the Design Guidelines and having a detailed EPD* demonstrating life cycle and sustainability. Reminiscent of Beach shacks in the area, the Axon cladding is painted and has a warranty of 25 years. It is also fire rated up to a BAL 40 making it suitable for most lots in the South West.
